Official Rules and Judging Criteria (English)
1) Time limit: 1 hour
2) 1 essay Chinese to English (50%)，1 essay English to Chinese (50%).
3) The committee will provide papers. No other paper is allowed.
4) Scoring criteria: meaning (50%), accuracy (25%), grammar (15%), word choice (10%).
5) If a contestant is not able to find a proper word for use, substituting with Zhu-Yin, Han-Yu Pin-Yin, the original Chinese or English word is allowed. The judges may deduct some points based on their own standards.
6) Write only traditional characters.
7) Bring your own pencils and erasers. No other stationary is allowed other than pencils, erasers and paper (paper is provided by the committee). No dictionary or writing pad is allowed.
比賽規則與評分標準(中文)
比賽時間：一小時。
內容包括一篇中譯英(50%），一篇英譯中(50%）。
紙張由大會供應，不可使用大會答案紙以外的任何紙張。
評分標準： 文意(50%）準確(25%) 句法(15%）用詞(10%）。
不會寫的字彙與詞語可以使用注音符號、漢語拼音、或中英文原字替代，評審人員可依照各自標準斟酌扣分。
正體作答，不可正、簡體混合作答。
請自備鉛筆、橡皮擦。參賽者不得使用紙、筆、橡皮擦以外的文具，不可使用任何字典或墊板。
