Speaking is the first step to learning a language.
We have so many Cantonese speaking students in mid-peninsula and Cantonese Read Aloud contest offers them a unique chance to enhance and polish their speaking abilities. Through the preparation of Read Aloud pieces, students gain valuable insights into interpreting the content and conveying emotions effectively. They learn to modulate their speech, adjusting their pace, volume, and tone to emphasize key words. Additionally, this experience equips them with essential public speaking skills, such as making eye contact and overcoming stage fright. We strongly encourage students with Cantonese background to show off their mother-tongue language in this contest.
