閱讀測驗
Reading Comprehension is one of the more challenging contests. Contest participants need to read through 5 to 8 Chinese articles (depending on age group) to answer multiple choices, short response and long response questions within 60 minutes. It's usual for participants not being able to finish reading all articles and answering all questions. The content is designed to be difficult so that it's easier for judges to rank the answer submissions. Welcome students seek academic challenges to sign up.
閱讀測驗是學術比賽中最有挑戰性的比賽之一；參賽者需要在60分鐘內，依不同年齡組別，閱讀 5 至 8 篇中文文章，來回答選擇題、簡答題、和問答題等。許多參賽者常沒有時間閱讀所有文章、或完全回答所有的問題。為了要能明顯分出參賽者的程度和比賽成績，閱讀測驗比賽的難度，歡迎想要挑戰自己的學生報名。
Official Rules and Judging Criteria (English)
Time limit: 60 minutes
Bring your own pencils and erasers.
Proctors will only explain how the contest proceeds and things to pay attention to. Proctors will not answer questions in regards to the test content.
Contest procedure: Proctor to hand out the test paper according to assigned numbers. Test paper will be placed face down. After all contestants have the paper distributed proctor will inform the contestants to start the test simultaneously.
The test coverage of each group
Group A-– 8 articles (4 of them with PinYin phonetics and 4 of them without PinYin phonetics)
Group B— 7 articles (4 of them with ZhuYin phonetics and 3 of them without ZhuYin or PinYin phonetics)
Group C— 6 articles (4 of them with ZhuYin phonetics and 2 of them without ZhuYin or PinYin phonetics)
Group D— 5 articles (All of them with ZhuYin phonetics）
Questions for each article include multiple choices, short responses and long responses.
Write only traditional characters.
Scoring is based on the point deduction system. For each of the multiple choice and short response questions, a wrong answer will result in a 2-point deduction. Each question for the long response is worth 5 points. The number of points deducted will depend on the relative amount of right and wrong answers in each response. The contestant with the fewest points deducted is the 1st place winner.
For long response questions, the average of the scores given by all judges is used.
In the event that a contestant hands in the completed test ahead of time, the proctor shall record the time. This will be used as a tiebreaker.
比賽規則與評分標準(中文)
比賽時間：六十分鐘
請自備鉛筆、橡皮擦。
監考老師只解釋比賽進行方式及注意事項，關於測驗內容一概不作答。
比賽程序：依照編號發下試卷，試卷背對學生，由監考老師控制時間，一齊翻開試卷，大家同時開始作答。
各組組別比賽閱讀文章篇數
A 組-- 閱讀八篇 (4篇文章標示漢語拼音，4篇沒標示漢語拼音)
B 組-- 閱讀七篇 (4篇文章標示注音，3篇文章沒標示注音或漢語拼音)
C 組-- 閱讀六篇 (4篇文章標示注音，2篇文章沒標示注音或漢語拼音 )
D 組-- 閱讀五篇 (所有文章皆標示注音）
每篇測驗文章有選擇、簡答或問答題。
正體作答，不可正、簡體混合作答。
計分採扣分方式，答錯一題扣兩分。問答題則每題五分，按對錯程度酌量扣分，總計扣分最少者為第一名。
問答題的分數採取全體評審人員的平均分數為準。
若有提前交卷情況，監考人員將記下時間；如果有比賽同分需要再次評審的話, 以交卷時間為評分依據。
